• Newly promoted to Grade 2 as of October 2018
• Innate Technique: Holy Water Rain
• Socially maladjusted due to homeschooling, she mostly interacts with the world by imagining herself and others around her as trope-y movie scenarios (which she calls fancasts). Because of this we can’t be sure what her relationships are really like.
• She seems to get along with her classmates, Yuta, Momo, and have a genuine friendship as well as master-apprentice relationship with Ino. She wants to befriend Mai, but it’s not going so good.
• Has an inferiority complex due to her technique being simple and not particularly effective and her peers being more talented. Ironically, the negative emotions help the flow of her cursed energy, improving her overall skill.
• Genuine Shallow cinephile, likes popular 70s-90s movies the most.
• Her favorite movie is The Exorcist, her Jujutsu Sorcerer persona is based on stereotypical depictions of exorcists in media.
• Her favorite food is blood orange sorbet, her least favorite food is any boiled vegetables.
• Her biggest cause of stress is being the center of attention.
Backstory (abridged)
She was born in a farming community. Her innate technique activated[?] in elementary school when she was injured during a fight at school, summoned heavy rainfall over the entire village and immediately passed out. Her family believed the incident to be a manifestation of a spiritual gift, claiming Mio was born to watch over their community and prevent droughts. She was sent to live with a relative at a nearby temple under the guise of protection and furthering her spiritual journey, where she had individual tutoring and minimal chances for interaction with her peers. She mostly spent her days watching tv, movies, and youtube videos
Mio was aware she could see curses and eventually figured out she can summon rain clouds to exorcise them, but - like her family - believed she had some sort of vague spiritual gift, as nobody around her knew about jujutsu.
